Better Than I Hoped!

Weird birthday.

Last night I met a friend for her birthday. We went to Ale house and met up with her regular bar friends. Regular bar people freak me out. So much hugging and saying I love you. Then there’s the people that ask you why you don’t talk-( I’m a bit of a introvert and struggle to make small talk with complete strangers who are on their 4th drink), and tell you that you think that you are better than them. Then there’s the people who tell you that in 10 years you’ll be divorced because you will be bored and will want to be the center of attention and an extrovert. ( I may have told this person to fuck off.) So much weird hugging and touching and throwing around I love you’s. I couldn’t wait to get home to my “boring” life and watch The Walking Dead with my handsome husband and kiss my two sleeping kids good night. I may never go out again.

So- I paid $9.99 for Skinny Girl on the go bars. I was excited about them. Dark Chocolate, Pretzels, Nuts- I was sold.

They arrived, I opened one. They look nothing like the photo. Nothing. They we’re chewy- and messy. They must have melted at one point during transit- its the only thing that I can think I that would make them gross looking and messy.

I was underwhelmed especially for the price. Especially since you can buy a box of fiber one bars for a fraction of the cost.

This post has little to do with me, and is more about what I saw today.

Ladies- keep friends that lift you up, support you and ultimately want the best for you.

Let the friends that year you down, talk about you and who are just no good- go.

I have never been a mean girl- I am a loyal friend, I will support you but I will call you out on your bullshit. I would never purposely embarrass you, or make you feel bad.

My heart hurts for a friend that I volunteer with and it’s taking every ounce of my being to not go straight to the mean girl and tell her how I feel.

We have to be nice to one another. Being a catty bitch- will never end well.

Here we go again.

Found another home, in the most perfect neighborhood, with awesome schools from K-12.

Its ugly, needs a ton of work, but has a huge back yard.

Lots of kids in the neighborhood. I can walk him to school in the morning.

Putting in the offer now. I hope we steal it!

So- we went to see Winter the dolphin last week.

It was ridiculously busy and completely underwhelming. The animals were so sad looking and I was afraid at one point that Winter had started seizing and was going to die right in front of us. How do you explain that to a 2 and 8 year old?

And- she wasn’t wearing the prosthetic fin.

My recommendation would be to save this for a rainy day- do not schedule a vacation around it.
